Who this course is for
This course is for learning and development (L&D) practitioners, human resources (HR) business partners and managers who already arrange or deliver training and now need to plan it as a strategy. At intermediate level, the aim is to apply good practice to real situations, choose between options with different costs and benefits, diagnose why a programme is not working, and adapt plans when budgets or priorities change.
What value looks like
An L&D function creates value when people can do things they could not do before, and the organisation performs better as a result. That value appears as fewer errors, safer operations, faster time to competence for new starters, stronger leaders, and the ability to take on new work. It does not appear as the number of courses delivered. A function that reports only activity will be treated as a cost to cut. A function that reports capability built will be treated as an investment.
How the course is organised
How adults learn, competence frameworks and the yearly learning cycle.
