- Explain the five S's in sequence and what each phase contributes to a safe, capable workplace
- Apply red-tagging in the Sort phase to remove unneeded items without losing things that matter
- Set locations using a-place-for-everything tools such as shadow boards, labelling and floor marking
- Use Shine as cleaning-as-inspection to detect leaks, wear and abnormalities early
- Build simple standards and visual checks so the improved state is obvious at a glance
- Run audits and scorecards that keep 5S alive, and recognise why programmes die at Sustain
