Accreditation and Claims Policy
What our tags, certificates and listings mean, and what they do not.

Standards and regulators
When a course or skill carries the name of a regulator, standards body or certification exam, it means the course is built to meet its requirements. It does not mean the body approved it. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by these bodies.
Exam preparation
An exam preparation course prepares you for the exam. It does not award the certificate; only the certifying body does.
Our certificates
A certificate of completion records that you finished the course and passed its quizzes, which are not invigilated. It is not proof of competence on its own. The learning time on it is the length of the course, not accredited hours.
Providers' accreditations
We show the accreditations a training company or trainer tells us about. We do not check or certify them.
Your claims about us
A trainer or company may say it delivers training through iCompetent. It may not say that iCompetent accredits, certifies or endorses it.
