Get your certificate

When you finish an online course — every lesson complete and every module quiz passed — you can claim a certificate of completion.

Claim your certificate

  1. चरण 1: Finish every lesson and pass every module quiz in the course.
  2. चरण 2: Press Get your certificate, on the course or on Your training on your profile.
  3. चरण 3: Check your name in the dialog. Correct it if needed — this also updates the name on your account.
  4. चरण 4: Press Issue my certificate.

Finished every lesson but no certificate yet? The course then lists the module quizzes you still need to pass, with your best score and the pass mark, and a Take the quiz button for each.

What is on the certificate

  • Your name and the course title.
  • The date of completion and your assessment average.
  • The learning time of the course: the total length of its lessons, in hours and minutes. Use it where a form asks how many hours of training a certificate stands for.
  • A unique certificate number, in the form CERT-year-six digits.
  • A QR code that opens the secure verification link, so anyone can check the certificate with a phone camera.

Download, print or share

Open the certificate from Your training on your profile. Then:

  • Download PDF gives you an A4 landscape PDF.
  • Confirmation letter gives you a one-page letter, in English, that states your name, the course, the certificate number, the completion date and the learning time, with the verification link. Use it where an employer or a government form asks for written confirmation of training. It says in plain words that the learning time is the length of the course, not accredited hours.
  • Print prints the certificate. To save a PDF this way, choose "Save as PDF" as the printer.
  • Under Share this certificate you find the secure link. Anyone you give it to can confirm the certificate is genuine, without signing in. It shows your name, the course and the date, and nothing else.
  • Under Share this certificate you can also post it to LinkedIn, Facebook, X, WhatsApp or Telegram, send it by email, or copy the link. Add to LinkedIn profile opens the Licenses & certifications form on LinkedIn with the course, iCompetent, the certificate number and the link filled in. Every button shares the secure link, and nothing is posted until you confirm it on the network.

Your certificate page itself is private. To prove your certificate to someone, give them the secure link. See Verify a certificate.

What a certificate proves

A certificate of completion shows that you finished the course and passed its quizzes. It is not an invigilated exam, and it is not the same as a competency record signed off by an employer.

The learning time on it is the length of the course as published: the time its lessons take, as shown on the course page. It is not an accredited number of hours, and iCompetent is not an accrediting body. A certificate issued before learning times were printed shows the course's length when it is next opened.
