Verify a certificate

Anyone can check that an iCompetent certificate is genuine, without an account. There are two ways: the secure link, which the QR code on the certificate opens, or the certificate number.

Every certificate carries a QR code that opens its secure verification link; point a phone camera at the certificate, on paper or on a screen, and the page opens. The holder also finds the link under Share this certificate. It shows that the certificate is genuine, with the holder's name, the course, the completion date and the learning time.

This is the best way to prove a certificate, because it is the only check that shows whose certificate it is. If you are the holder, send this link to the person who asks.

With the certificate number

Go to icompetent.com/verify/ followed by the certificate number — for example icompetent.com/verify/CERT-2026-000123. The page says This certificate is genuine and shows the course, the completion date and the learning time.

If a certificate is not found

  • Check the number against the printed certificate, character by character.
  • A certificate that was withdrawn — for example because the holder started the course again — no longer verifies.
  • If you check many certificates in a short time, you may be asked to wait and try again later.
  • If it still does not match, contact us and we will confirm it for you.
