Petrophysics and Formation Evaluation
An intermediate course for geoscientists, petroleum and drilling engineers, wellsite geologists and data technicians who use well log data. It covers the data sources — mud logging, core, wireline and LWD logs, formation testers — and how to read the main logs, then works through shale volume, porosity, Archie water saturation, net pay cut-offs and fluid contacts with worked examples. It closes with permeability estimation, core–log integration, data quality control, uncertainty and reporting.
