Frequently asked questions

What is iCompetent Skills?

A competency-based learning platform where you progress through structured levels for each skill — combining knowledge, hands-on assignments, and assessments — so your competence is demonstrated, not just assumed.

How do the four competency levels work?

Every skill is mastered in order: Awareness → Knowledge → Skill → Mastery. You unlock the next level by passing the current level’s assessment.

What’s inside each level?

Three kinds of items: Knowledge (articles/videos to absorb the concepts), Assignment (practical tasks to apply them), and Assessment (a quiz to prove competency). The assessment unlocks once the knowledge and assignment are done.

Do I have to start from the beginning?

No. A short placement assessment gauges what you already know and starts you at the right level, so you don’t re-cover material you’ve mastered.

Who is it for?

Both individuals building their own skills and organizations tracking and developing workforce competency across teams and job roles.
