Truck Mixer (Concrete Mixer Truck) Safety

A beginner familiarisation course on the truck mixer, explored in 3D: its drum, drive, chutes and controls, why a loaded drum can roll the truck over, wet concrete burns, the daily check, loading and driving, reversing and pouring with a banksman, chute pinch points, washing out, and why nobody enters a drum without isolation, lockout and a confined space permit. It is for trainee drivers, concrete gangs and site staff, and it does not replace the driving entitlement, practical training, assessment and authorisation that the law and the employer require.
