Bloodborne Pathogens Awareness (OSHA 1910.1030)
Awareness training aligned with the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard, 29 CFR 1910.1030, for first aiders, healthcare support staff, cleaners, waste handlers, security and maintenance workers who may meet blood at work. It covers HBV, HCV and HIV, exposure control plans, universal precautions, sharps and PPE, clean-up, regulated waste, labels, hepatitis B vaccination and what to do after an exposure. It is not an OSHA Outreach (10-hour or 30-hour) course, issues no DOL or OSHA card, and supports but does not replace the training your employer must give on its own exposure control plan, with a knowledgeable person to answer your questions.
